What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

Hello, my name is Cynthia and I have just recently quit my job because I was not happy at my workplace. I worked at a Video Rental Place and my boss was accussing me of stealing inventory, although he had no proof or right to accuse me. A week later, when I call in for my paycheck, he claims i was missing money during my last work day. At our work station we start off with one hundred dollars everyday. Every other hundred dollars made during the day, has to be dropped into my boss's safe. He claims that I am missing two hundred dollars and I have to pay him back. What should I do??!!! Do I have to pay him abck even though I did not take them>?

Sounds like he is actually handling this correctly. A lot of employers would just take the money out of the last check which is a big no-no.
