What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan

I am a dealer at a casino and I made a mistake and overpaid a player 10,000.00 on Craps. Two supervisors and myself were terminated for incompetency. The player refused to return the money. We were told that if the player would give the money back, we would not lose our jobs. The player again refused to return the money. Is this considered stealing?? We asked the man to return the money almost immediately, he refused and walked away from the game to go cash the chips in. The player was detained by Casino management for about 6 hours, he was wined and dined at one of the finest resaurants in the Casino. He still refused (as far as I know) to return the money. Do I have any legal action available to me in a situation like this??

I have to admit this is a huge mistake, however, these types of mistakes are quite common in the casino business. I never heard of a player refusing to return an overpayment before.

Any comments are welcome.

Thanks

**A: no since you do not own the casino.

**A: I guess you have not been in the casino long enough.
