My son wanted a cell phone because he was going away to school, so I signed the contract. His first bill was a whopping $2,100, I immediately called the company and told them that I or he would be able to pay the entire balance, they told me to send what I could, so I sent $1,100, the next month's bill was for $600.00, again I was NOT pleased, I called again and told them that I would be sending another $500.00, the person I spoke to told me that I need not send that much just send enough to keep your account active, so I send not $500.00 but $700.00. So, I thought all was well. Well, it was not, they cancelled his cell phone use, cancelled it without warning either in writing or via the phone. On the day it was cancelled, I know, my luck we had a family emergency and I was unable to get in contact with my son, so I had a great deal of stress trying to find a way to contact him . Thank God I did. By point is, I was totally misled, we made every attempt to pay this bill, shouldn't they have at least warned me that they were turning off his service? I want to cancel the service, but there is a $100.00 fee attached, which is clearly stated in the contract, but under the circumstance I feel that they should waive this fee. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
