What is the name of your state? FL
To anybody who has file CH 7.How long did it take you get your credit back where you had it before?Also is it hard to live without credit when first file CH7?Did you have alot of problems with no credit.And is it true that credit cards companys start to send you information on getting new cards after file ch7?Because they know you can't file for another six years.

Yes, you will certainly get plenty of offers in the mail for SECURED credit cards, whcih means you must put money in the bank and that amount becomes your credit limit. You MIGHT get offers for unsecured cards (unlikely), but if you did the interest rates would be so high it would be insane to take them.

Believe me, its not hard to live w/o credit, for the most part. If you have a Debit card, you can get along with that nicely. I havne't filed for BK yet, but I stopped using all credit cards well over a year ago, and I manage. My credit was already trashed, so, even though I hadn't filed, any new credit was impossible anyway.

Don't fall into the trap of getting new cards, use your fresh start to learn the lessons of using credit and NOT using them w/o paying the full balances or only for must-have items or emergencies. Everything else can wait until you've saved the money to buy it with cash.

My sister filed BK 4 years ago.. she is just now receiving offers for unsecured cards, but the rates still stink.
