can someone who files for a divorce stop the procedings even if the other party wants the divorce to be finalized? what is the procedure for this in the state of georgia?

My response:

No. In a dissolution matter, both parties must agree to dismiss the pending action. If one party wishes to continue, the matter will continue through to judgment.
