What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MO

What are the policies regarding the sale of a business? As an employee of a business that has changed hands, we had an employment book that stated certain benefits. These issues were not addressed, nor were they answered when we inquired. Now more than 7 months later, I had 136 hours of vacation that just disappeared and there is no vacation accrual at all. Also my 401k deductions have been dropped. This was no longer employer matched, but I was still contributing. Are we entitled to the benefits that were earned prior to the sale of the business? Can the new owner just take away benefits that were already earned?

Thanks
