My divorce was filed in San Deigo over 3 years ago. We both now live in Northern California. How do I get our divorce moved? Is the form called EX PARTE APPLICATION FOR TRANSFER AND ORDER? (UIFSA) Do I serve my ex this paper? (UIFSA) How many copies do I file? (orig & 2 copies) Do I need to file proof of service?? Can I mail these to San Diego or should I bring them??? My response:

If you have satisfied the residency requirements for your new county, then you must file such Application. The court clerk has the forms. Send away for them, fill them out, and file them with the SD court house, and pay the transfer fee. You can conduct this whole matter by mail.
