California - We want to file a change to the visitation agreement. Both parties agree to the change, and we do not want to pay a lawyer, go to court, etc to make the change. Can we type up a change, have it notarized by both parties and just file it somehow? We just want to have a record that both parties are agreeing to this to avoid any potential problems.

Go to the family law facilitators office in your county. They will help you with the paperwork. Then you submit it to the judge, he/she signs it, and you are done.

However, if there is a change to the timeshare, there may be child support consequences. But the FLF office can run you a new Dissomaster and draw up the papers to adjust that as well.
