i live in oklahoma and want to change my birth name /married name.from reading on the web i have discovered i should not change it to get out of paying my debts-however if all old debts are satisfied-can i change it to improve my credit since it is shot ?like starting over so to speak?

Changing your name isn't going to help your credit Hon. It's done by your ss number that will always be the same no matter what name you have....so the bad credit will always be there. There are ways to clean it up however, alot of advice on the internet (don't pay for it though).
