What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California.
Prior to filing a chapter 7, I discovered my name was listed on a joint ownership with right to survivor. My parents are alive. Is it in the best interest of my parents, brothers and sisters to simply have my name removed prior to filing. Is that an option?

Bigun. You out there buddy?

Your only option at this point is to disclose the situation to your attorney. Your lawyer can't represent you to the best of their ability if, they don't have all the facts.
This can play out in a lot of ways depending on if, there is any equity in the house and if so, what your portion would be.
