Chapter 13 and Student Loan

I filed for chap 13 in order to be able to pay my property taxes and the case was dismissed because the payment to the trustee was sent late. I went ahead and did a reinstatement of the case. I'm still waiting for a letter from the Judge to meet again with the trustee.

Questions:

1. Is there another option to pay my property taxes? Or, is a chap 13 the only option?

2. I have a student loan and I will like to know if a chapter 13 will take care of my student loan?
