Hello

I'm went thru the process of filing for chapter 13 with an attorney in Florida.

After filing, I started to receive multiple letters from the attorney's office in relation to the bankruptcy. One of the letters stated the date and time I needed to meet with the attorney and the trustee on court. I went to the court that day to meet with them and the case had to be postponed because I never sent an initial payment to the the trustee in relation to the bankruptcy. I told my attorney that I was never informed about making this first payment to the trustee. I told him that I did received a letter related to a payment plan but I though the letter didn stated that I needed to pay the trustee before meeting with him on court. When I got that letter of the payment plan the first time I called the attorney's office and spoke with one of the assistants. The assistant never told me that I needed to make a payment before meeting with the trustee.

Anyways, that day in court, when the case got postponed, the attorney told me to make a check with a certain amount to pay the trustee so we can meet again at court. Two days later, I call the attorney's office to confirm where I was going to send the check and one of the attorney's assistants told me to send the check to the trustee directly. I went ahead and send the check to the trustee including 3 payments. The payment of April, May and June with a total of $660.00.

Like 4 days later, I found out that the case got dismissed and that I need to reinstate the case again and pay the attorney $400.00 to reinstate the case. They also told me that I was supposed to send them the check directly to the attorney's office and not to the trustee.

1. Why should I pay another $400.00 if I never get accurate information from the Attorney's assistants office ??

2. What are my other options if I don't have those $400.00 to reinstate the case??

3. Can I go directly to court and do this chapter 13 myself??

Thank you in advanced,

Pablo
