What is the name of your state? TENNESSEE

Hi, I am in a chapter 13 right now and have been for a year now. I am 6 months pregnant and am worried about making my plan payments while on maternity leave. ( six weeks or so ) Do the Federal Bankruptcy laws have anything about ' deferring' payments for maternity leave? Or anything along that line? Thanks for any help in this matter.

You're still getting paid someway while on Maternity leave, correct (through STD, or an actual maternity leave benefit) or are you taking it unpaid?

Wayne-o..... So in other words there is no exception to the 'rule' as far as someone taking maternity leave and the bankruptcy court automatically giving them a deferral?

spankcheese......Yes I have STD but it will not be enough to cover my weekly plan payments. I will recieve one lump sum check from the STD insurance to cover six weeks of leave. My weekly bankruptcy payment takes my whole check. As you know short term disability only pays 60% of your pay. Even if the trustee were to take all of my STD, It still would not cover my weekly payments, for those six weeks.
