What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CT

A creditor for a credit card company placed a lien on my property prior to me filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy. This creditor was listed on my chapter 7 bankcy. I had assumed after I received a discharge that the lien would be removed. However the Lien is still in place.

Do I have to have an attorney reopen my bankruptcy case in order to get the lien removed or is this a matter that I can do myself?

If my home sells, can this creditor collect on the lien even after being discharged on my bankruptcy?

I appreciate any clarification on this issue. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Yes, consult with an attorney.
