I sold a used saddle over the internet using pay pal the end of September. Pictures were reviewed. I owned the saddle 10 years & never had any problems with it. She purchased the saddle, so it was shipped to her in Montana. She never had any complaints & even sent me pictures of it on her horse she was happy with it. Then a few weeks later I received an e-mail stating she re-sold the saddle & shipped it to Michigan. Now there is a problem & she advised me the tree is broke & she had to return the money to her friend & she wants me to return her money. I said no since it has been resold & reshipped. To my understanding since she re-sold the saddle I have no obligation, it was fine when I sold it. Something may have happened in shipping or in the few weeks she owned it. She filed a chargeback with credit card co. Paypal is appealing this, but I am being charged a fee. Is this something I am obligated to refund money for? There were never any problems until she resold & reshipped. Thank you for your help.

You don't owe this buyer a thing!!!!!! You were obligated to deliver item purchased which you did and whatever she did after that is her problem. Call her or send her a certified letter stating that if you don't recieve payment in full within a certain amount of days then you will have no choice but to contact the authorities in her area and you will take her to small claims court.
