What is the name of your state?NC
I tried a van on an online site. This guy and his representation contacted mw with a full offer and sent me a cashiers check i deposited the money and thought the sale was going to go through he wanted the van shipped over seas and I helped him by forwarding some money to the shipped i was garneteeted the money by the time he came to inspect the van. Well the customer died right before this happened (or so his representation said) well his wife contacted me and asked me to give her the money back and try to sell the van again and I could keep 1001 dollars for my time. Well I tried the overnight her a cashiers check but it was returned to me I contacted her and tols her what happened and she said she wanted the money western union which is fine I plan on takeing the cost out of her return but just recently I noticed and chargeback on my account the the amount she first sent me. I still have a small portion of her money and had planned to send it to her however she wanted me to do it but now I am out way more that I planned to even sell the van ( the check was larger than the amount i was asking to pay for her representation and the shipping) does she have the right to chargeback the cashiers check and what do i do to get the money back
Thanks

Are you living in a cave?

SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!!!!!

Has the van been shipped anywhere? If so, you could be the rare double or triple loser.

The reason the CC came back is because the "buyer" doesn't exist at that address. The scammer's CC to you is bogus. Money sent via Western Union is unrecoverable...just like cash.

Why do people keep falling for this crap?!

Yep, you have been taken.

WEll dallas, at least with this one you can say he obviously isn't well educated so he probably does not watch the news or read the papers!

Oh thanks so much for the advice. I just got taken advatage of and you are being rude. This site is to help people not make them feel worse. You people are just as bad as the people who did this to me. I didn't know this was going on and I should not be made fun of for that. I sure hope nothing bad ever you even though you seem to deserve it

This scam has been going on for years. It's been exposed numerous times on TV, on radio programs, in newpapers, all over the internet. What did you think was happening when the "buyer" asked for you to send him/her money when you were the one making the sale?

We all empathize with you, but unfortunately there's not much that can be done. I hope you still have your van.

How much did you end up sending to the "buyer"?

Did you get any kind of I.D. on the person who came to inspect the van?
