I was intoxicated and on my way home. About ten feet from my building there was a tree and I decided to break a limb off of it. I was then arrested and charged with a misdemeanor--for brekaing a tree limb no larger than 30 inches in length. I must appear in court this coming tuesday and am curious if there is a chance of dismissal. I awondering how to aproach the D.A. and explain that the college is already discipling me, and I do not want a record.

Thank you in advance for your help

Take a lawyer with you. Find one who has a good relationship with the DA assigned to your case. If you try to talk to the DA yourself, you'll just end up incriminating yourself.
