Hi all,

Earlier this year, I ordered a free trial of a weight loss supplement from an online company named LeanLook RX. Unbeknownst to me, ordering a free trial from them meant you must also order at least one full month's supply of the product which costs about $95. It was all in the small print, I agree, and I know there's probably nothing that can be done about that now but if anyone has any advice for getting that money back I'd greatly appreciate it :)

Anyway, after they took the $95 from me, I told them to cancel the autoshipment program and to not bill me anymore. This was in May 2006. I didn't have any problems until the first of this month when I noticed some strange deductions from my bank account. One was for about $98 and another was for $29.95 both from a company named "Lean RX" that gave their 1-800 customer service number. I called the number a few times, but no one ever answered and all I got was their answering machine (which, oddly enough, never mentioned the name of the company). After that, I searched the internet to try to find out what company has the 1-800 number. All I could find out was that it used to be LeanLook RX's customer service number, but isn't anymore since they stopped selling the LeanLook supplements. Fortunately, I found in my e-mail inbox an old email that I had received from LeanLook RX and I was able to email them about the situation. They responded telling me that thie company that took the money from my account was not LeanLook RX and that my account with them has already been cancelled. I don't really believe them though... It just seems too coincidental...

So, my question is: what can I do about this and how can I get my money back?

Thanks for your help!

That money's gone, you'll never see it again, so give up that hope.

So, my question is: what can I do about this and how can I get my money back?

Have you disputed the withdrawal with your bank? Call them, YESTERDAY. Time's a wastin'! You only have 60 days from the transaction to dispute it. If it's been over 60 days I'm afraid you're outta luck.

I bet the pills didn't work either, did they? I can't wait for the day when people realize that weight loss isn't magic. It doesn't come from a pill or a shake or special meals. It comes from lifestyle changes.
