What is the name of your state? Colorado
I work at an Animal ER and we deal with a lot of high bills. We do estimates for most everyone to avoid the shock of a $500 bill... but on occasion the Dr. will forget to make an estimate or we do not get a signature on the estimate. Well, the office manager today tells us the she will be charging us (the technicians) $25 is there is no estimate and/or it is not signed AND $50 for not getting the client to sign the information sheet they fill out when the first arrive. Now, I understand we should be doing these things, but is it 100% legal for her to charge us for errors we make? because i have never heard of such a thing!!!!! I am Outragged

According to my sources, no, in your state she cannot actually charge you.

Nothing in the law, however, gives you any kind of claim until she actually does deduct something from your check.

Finally, you can make the whole issue go away by simply remembering to do everything you're supposed to.
