What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Illinois
Well I used my ATM card at my local Amoco gas station about a week a go today. I purchased some cigarettes, gas and some drinks.
Went inside and paid for it all under a single transaction! Total amount of sale was $92.70.
I use Quicken to keep track of ALL my finances and so I have a good grasp on where I am financially.
Anyway, I checked my account via Chase.com today and noticed a discrepancy in my available balance and what my Quick book is telling me. I am positive $92.70.
Looking at the history, it shows on 6/20 - That Amoco credited my card $92.70.
It shows on 6/20 that Amoco charged my card $92.70.
These are not showing up as pending transactions. These are cleared as of 5 days a go.
Should I inform Chase? My gut tells me that I should because eventually Amoco or chase will catch their mistake.
Any similar experiences? I feel that Amoco messed up and basically gave me a $100 gift card.
