What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida
Hi. I apologize if this isn't posted in the most appropriate section, I couldn't find one to match my particular issue.
I'm about to purchase a car from a friend, and have had other friends tell me to either have him write $1 or GIFT on the title so I wont have to pay the taxes. Any advice on this matter would be appreciated. Thank you.

I suggest you not conspire to commit / actually commit fraud (it won't work anyway)
