What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?FL
My fiance has bad credit, but is working on it. She is having a hard time opening a local checking account, now that she has moved here. I on the other hand have excellent credit, and am worried that if I open a joint account with her that it could ding my credit, just by being financially associated with her name. Nothing bad is going to happen in the account, just concerned about linkage of histories. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thaks in advance!

I appreciate your reply, and do realize the stats on problems with joint accounts. I am referring only to an account for payment of everyday bills until she gets her credit cleaned up. I also realize that I am equally responsible for what occurs in the account, but am not too worried, as I am actually controlling her finances during this.
Thanks for the reply.
