scenario:
13 yr old boy is being investigated for possible arson, his rights have been read, but no arrest at this time.

question:
1. what are the laws concerning the police attempting to obtain a statement without a lawyer or legal guardian present?

2. what are the laws concerning police walking into your unlocked home without a warrent, while son is playing at neighbors and parents are at work?
