I am in Missouri. Here is my dilema. My son who is in second grade informed me today that yesterday during P.E, they were playing volleyball and his teacher yelled at him to move, and she came up behind him with both hands and pushed him on his back, he fell to the ground and slid into the wall and hit his head and back on the wall. This teacher is a very tall, strong woman. He informed his regular teacher after P.E. that his back still hurt and he told her why and she just told him to go to the nurse and get an ice pack. I was never notified of anything. I am furious that this P.E. teacher was allowed to do that to him. I think it is not ok to do that. If I were to do that to my son, DFS would be all over me. I have emailed the principal, as noone answers the phone, I do not know what to do next. I feel that this is assualt and should not be over-looked. My son also has scoliosis and right above the area where she put her hands is where his spinal cord curves. This is not ok with me. I am not sure I posted in the right forum. Any advice on what I should do next? Am I over reacting? Thanks for any help, Misty
