I have a six year old son and a bad marriage. My husband has
always been totally uninvolved, and I have always been the primary caregiver.
He is threatening to fight for joint (50-50) custody if we divorce.
Do I have a chance for 64-40 or more in California?
Please advise.

heh heh... that's too funny! :D

But, yeah, you both have a chance at "64-40" custody... alot of things can be used by a judge to determine what type of custody to award parents...

The best advise you could EVER get is, get a lawyer NOW. I'm not pro-lawyer, but I have been down this path before... if you don't retain one now, you will need one later.

Good luck, Goooooz Frabba, and research custody online to educate yourself. :) FJ1200Guy

i'd like to correct typo - obviously meant 60-40 custody.
Also, he smokes pot every day.
Yet you've been with him for at least six years. Apparently it's only a problem now due to a custody battle. Also, prove it.
