lake county florida can anyone tell me how this generally goes? When a nonmarried couple with a child part, and paternity is not legally listed on birth certificate...does it usually go more in favor of who files first? For instance if he files to establish patermity and visitation before she does, will it go more in his favor? Or vice versa, if she is the current custodial parent? I am asking because i do not wish to seek support from him unless he wishes to have visitation and rights. I am afraid if he files first, i will not have much say in anything courts decide. Can anyone help me on this? I am trying not to force him to be a father unless he makes an effort. I want her dad to love her for her, not because he is forced to pay for her and might as well spend time with her.Anyone?
