Iam 20 years old and the mother of my child is 17. I pay child support for my child but, I have to beg to see him my name is not on the birth record. each time I ask to see him. her mom say no. so, I tell them let's do this legal and they get mad and say no to that also. but, tell me that I still have to pay child support. They want even let me or my mom spend time with him. but, each time the child is sick they call my mom for help. The child is 9 month old and have been sick with cold or diaper rashs every month my mom have to tell them to take the child to the doctor many times because the child is always ill. My mom is trying to get joint custody & visitation orders. we need help.

Has paternity ever been established? If not, I suggest you go to court to have that done. I believe that if child support is not court ordered, she can't do anything if you don't pay. Take her to court, establish paternity and then you can establish a custody and visitation arrangement. Then, she would have to let you see the child or she would be breaking the court order. I hope that you have documented all the support you have given her already.
And, remember, child support and custody/visitation are two separate issues in the court's eyes. One has nothing to do with the other.
