i am in Illinois. my question is, can a decision be made concerning custody be made when no evidence is allowed to be presented. the child in question is a special needs child who recently lost his mother in a car accident, his maternal grandmother had temporary custody until today. the father lost his rights to his other child for violence and endangering the child. thejudge just gave custody to this man. the child requires special care and they also took him from his sister. what can we do?
