my exgirlfriend and i have one child together. i am currently married for two years now. my ex goes for lengthy times without seeing our son the last time was eight months. i am currently trying to get custody of my son through the courts. i have had him for the past four years and have not received any type of help from his mother. can i get her for child abandoment and have my wife adopt him? his mother is currently over in england visiting her new boyfriend and she has told my son that she is going to marry him. i do not know if they are going to live in england if they get married are not but will it make a diffrence in my case or not? i live in dallas, oregon county of polk.

Define 'trying' to get custody.. you should already have secured sole custody with her only having supervised visitation and her paying Child Support.
