my husband was convicted of child molestation against my 9 year old daughter in the state of georgia. he was accused of exposing himself, so as i understand this is considered child molestation. what i need to know is, is this considered a violent felony. he is currently serving 5 years of a 20 year sentance. i am aware that this is a felong i just need to know if this is considered violent.

this is to lawrat. yes i am married to this man. do not be judgemental in areas that you are unaware of. all i need to know is if this crime considered to be a violent crime. so i don't have to repeat myself please read the thread where i replied to the woman that has the same problem about the 2 children. i have been battling with this for 3 years now and all i want is some kind of information on this subject without spending another $65,000.00 on an attorney.

Yes I would consider this to be a violent crime, This is the woman with the "same problem" except I just found out that what was said was true and that it went further than just exposing himself, it just starts there, and gets worse, my husband, I mean soon to be X , got in the shower with her and made her fondle him, and if I would not have believed here, maybe next time he would have raped her, that to me is violent and it has to start somewhere. He is where he belongs, and maybe with any luck mine will be there with him, so he doesn't hurt any other little girls, not even his own. Your supposed to have unconditional love for your children, you gave birth to them not to your husband, start believing what your children say, they don't make up things like that especially at the age of 9yrs they should have no experience enough to be able to make things up like that.

The minute I found out the rest of the story I left, went to the court got a order of protection, and had him removed from the home, and then immediatly filed for a divorce, to protect my 3 daughters and 1 son, It is your job to protect your children not your husband. My husband has no visitation with his 2 children unless it is suppervised.
