What is the name of your state? VA
Child support allegation recently dismissed in my favor. NC CSE was the originating agency. VA CSE, in dismissing the case asked that I start back sending payments directly to my ex-wife or however NC CSE instructs me to.

I have always paid my ex directly in the past, however for the last year or so during the allegation hearings I was told to pay VA CSE. Payments were never sent to NC CSE at any time. I'm leary about sending it back to my ex directly. My ex no longer receives assistance from this office but should I go ahead and forward payments to NC or send them to VA CSE instead even though the case has been dismissed, making them forward the payments to NC CSE?

any advice or suggestions would be helpful.

It sounds like you need a Modification.

How do you know VA CSE is not handling the case anymore.

Either keep the support funds in a separate bank account to show the court you have them, or if you really KNOW VA. CSE is NOT handling the case any longer, send them Directly and Keep Proof of Payment ( do not lose the Proofs), and still go in for modification.

You , or the court ,will need something from VA. CSE stating they no longer have an interest in the case .
