To whom it may concern,
I humbly ask you to do me a great favor and send me in the direction I need to go.
I am trying to find out Alabama Law about child support for my circumstance.
I have been given divorce papers which include the child support issue. My husband had the papers written up so that he doesn't have to pay child support. ( In my opinion)
He has one child with him and I have the other. The child with him is 18 years old, married, not in school and working full time. The child with me is 16 and still in school. My question is, do I have to pay child support for a child that is married and expecting a child of his own now? Does this forfeit any right that my husband has to receive child support from me?
The divorce papers are written in a way that it states we would have to pay child support to each other so there is no need to pay any at all. Please help me find the answer to this question or send me links so that I can find the answer to this.
I had to leave the state of Alabama for fear of my life. I am dealing with a very emotional sick person.(who has also committed bigamy)
Thank you for your time.

From your post he should be paying you child support, the ADULT living with him is married and no longer needs to support. He is blowing smoke up your arse, and I suggest you get an attorney so that you don't get blown away by his ridiculous tactics.
