my daughters dad was encarserated in Feb. 2000. He has written to me and said that he would probably be our in 12/2001. Right now we have joint legal custody. He hasn't paid child support since 12/99 and hasn't seen our daughter since 2/00. Does he still have all the rights as he did before? Is there anything I should do to let the courts know where he is? Do I have any special rights now that he is in jail?

He has all the rights he did before if the court orders are still in place.. so he can call his child and see her when he gets out. Depending on the crime he commited, you could petition for a change in custody or visitation.
