were you talking with the case worker?
you need to call and ask to speak with the supervisor for your caseworker. if speaking with the supervisor doesn't bring a response - and this is the kicker - you call the state representative. (if you are lucky, one that is up for re-election soon) you describe your problem that you are having and you also describe the response that you are getting from the child support enforcement unit.
with you living out of state, i don't know if it will get the same amount of pull. but when i was having problems, i called my rep and explained that due to the ex having friends in the cs office, i was not receiving my support on time and that he was not getting into any problems over it and no actions were being taken. i received a support check within 4 business days along with a letter detailing that they were taking actions to garnish his check. when the system changed over, i received another letter detailing how the money would be taken and exactly what date i would receive it.
the rep even checked back with me after i got the check to make sure that things were going well. and called the following month to verify that everything was in place and went well.
he helped me - i helped him. he got to talk about how he fought for the single mothers to assist them in their quest for child support. LOL
Ain't it funny how that works???
