What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas"A legal action has been filed with the court to enforce child support."
I am the Custodial Parent. The hearing is set for 9/15/2009.
The NCP is $15,000 in arrears. At $200 a month.
I was curious what possible outcomes could one expect following this hearing?
Thank you in advance for your time.

I'm sorry graybeard but the FA Crystal Ball is on strike. Ever since admin refused her pay increase she just down right refuses to give predictions:D

Then perhaps I should re-phrase my question. What options are available to the judge in regards to forcing the NCP to pay child support? The NCP is not working and my concern is because of her inability to pay, the matter will just disappear.

the NPC can be jailed for contempt. the NCP can be threatened with jail if a purge amount is not paid by a deadline (or right then and there). or if the NCP shows just cause and proof of reasonably and actively looking for a job, then support can be modified to a lower amount until full time employment is established. the case can also be continued for a progress/status report.
