undefinedWhat is the name of your state? Massachusetts

Does anyone know if child support income is exempt from collections on a Judgement? I can't find the answer anywhere. Thanks.

In general it is exempt - the money isn't for YOUR benefit, its for the benefit of the child. Just be ready to prove how much you get, especially if its mixed in with other funds in a bank account.

Massachusetts I thought it was exempt, but I can't find it in the MGL's or in the USC, I can't find the law and I need it for court. I spoke to the Legal Services in the area and they didn't know, then I called the DOR and they didn't know. The clerk magistrate didn't know the law either and decided that I should make payments on a Judgement based on my child support. My only other income is SSDI, which, I am pretty sure is Judgement proof. Any help is appreciated.
