What is the name of your state? md

Hello. In the case of child support for an infant in daycare, will the nonconstodial parent be responsible for at least half of the day care expenses?

It depends on what your state's laws and CS guidelines require. In some states the NCP pays half, in some states they can be ordered to pay all, and in some states they can only be ordered to pay a percentage that can be less than half.

I'm not sure what MD's guidelines are, but an easy way to find out is to run the nymbers through a CS calculator. You can find one at www.alllaw.com/calculators/Childsupport

What does your CO say? If it says he or she has to pay in it, thats what they will do. I know a few people in various states who don't pay anything for that, but they probably make it up in the CS amounts they pay.

In Maryland...

... it is a part of the child support calculator/calculations, but it gives the option of changing the amount paid by 1 or the other parent for "work related child care expenses", so that you can specify a monthly amount.

Changing it changes the overall child support payment.
