at the time I was ordered to pay support for my daughter she was 6 years old in Oak Harbor Washington. I was active duty USN, The amount was 341.00 monthly which I have paid by allottment since, She and her mother moved cross country after the divorce while I was transferred to California until now. The move made it very hard for visitation which financially I was responsible for. They now reside in Texas and I am retired from the military and reside in California, I would like to know if it would be wise to try a child support modification to perhaps lower my payments, could doing this backfire on me and raise my payments? would my income and living expenses at the time of the order be compared to my income and living expenses now?
