What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Oh
(This is an Order Regarding Temporary Residential Parent Status, Child Support, and Insurance)
I was designated the residential parent. Child support was ordered. The exact wording is "Said order is effective the first Friday following service and the order shall be paid directly to the obligee." She was served on the January 12 and the first Friday would be January 16, and the paperwork is signed by the judge.
In an email to me from my soon to be ex wife stated "and I will not be paying child support... **** no"
This is my first and hopefully last divorce and I'm unfamiliar with the whole legal system...
Is this considered contempt of court?
What is the likely outcome?
Thanks.
