Me and my husband both have children from other marriages. I receive child support and he pays. But there is a major difference in out cases but we pay and receive the same amount. We live in New Jersey and I receive $75/week and that is all, there are no visitation rights or medical care. My husband pays the same amount, provides medical coverage, and has visitation every other weekend. Now, here is the kicker! We, for the past 7 years had my step son every weekend. We got married, bought a house and I received some settlement money. She then decided to take us to court - she flat out lied - said that we had not done anything in the past 7 years, which we did - a lot!! So now, we went to court and the judgement was set but she is not complying with any of the order. We cannot afford to go out and spend more money on a lawyer. What should we do? It interferes with our marriage all the time.

she is in contepmt if she is not following the order. You don't have to have a lawyer to do that, it is helpful but not necesary.
