What is the name of your state? CAlifornia

Hello,

After 3 years, I found out one of my ex's had her children taken away. The funny part is that one of those childs is mine (so she says) and now since the kids are on forster care, the state wants me to pay child support.
I didnnt even know of this child's existance nor my ex was pregnant when we broke up.
I spoke with the worker assigned to this case and she said they needed me to take the DNA test to prove fatherhood since I have my doubts that this kid is even mine. Legally, there is no documents that show that I'm the father.
My question is what if I decline to submit a DNA test? I know the court will try to stablish parenthood but there is no real evidence of me being the father. There are no letters, no photos, no money given, nothing at all because I didnt know this child was even alive until 3 months ago.
What would be the best move for me? I will hate going to the ordeal of getting a DNA test, pay the 150 and at the end I will not be the father after all.
Help?

I think if you are found to not be the father- you would not be made to pay for the test.
