What is the name of your state? n.y. my husband pays support for his son. his sons mother has 2 other kids that the fathers pay very little support whereas we pay a lot. well now we found out that his son is not even living with the mother but with another relative and she is still receiving the support. we go to court for a modification to get the support lowered....should we mention that he's not in the household? i don't like the idea that she is living off the child support and not using it on the son

ABSOLUTELY...........child support is meant to reimburse WHOMEVER is caring for the child for part of the expenses incurred...so if she is NOT caring for the child then she should NOT be receiving the support!
As for who pays what in regard to what children -- the amount of support ordered is based on the income of the two parents of each child -- so it is completely possible that the lower support ordered for the other children is due to their father's making less money than your DH -- it is all proportional.......
