What is the name of your state? VA
Requesting advice on a child support issue I listed in recent posts. Ex-wife (NC) filed an allegation in June 2001 stating I wasn't paying child support. Hired lawyer, we presented evidence and the case was dismissed in my favor.

8 months later, ex-wife (NC) filed another allegation with the same CSE there stating that I was not paying child support and that I was 24K in arrears. Based on this allegation NC instructed VA to intercept my 2002 tax return and post the 24k to my credit file. Hired a local attorney to file an appeal which involved going to several hearings. Last month, case was dismissed by VA CSE in my favor.

VA CSE also removed the 24k debt from my credit file but never sent me a formal letter attesting to the fact nor did they release my tax return. VA CSE aren't returning any calls made by my attorney nor are they responding to his letters. At this point, my attorney seemed to be annoyed with the VA CSE and doesn't seem to be interested in the case any further.

Are they any measures I can take or request that they send me something formal regarding the dismissal and the removal of the debt from my credit file and the status of my return. Can I file something in local court, i.e., a finding of facts surrounding this issue so that next time my ex-wife does this or something similiar I can produce a court filed document disputing any claims of arrears. thanks in advance....
