What is the name of your state? TX Question is, over the last 5 years. Aug 1999 to July 2004 I have not received child support from the mother of our children. I have been the custodial parent. Now the children are with her. If she pursues child support from me how will it work? With her not paying at all. She is in Iowa.

Did you have a court order for child support for that time period? If so, she still owes you. If not, you lost out. She can (and likely will) file for child support and you, very likely, will be ordered to pay.

Did you have a court order for CS that she failed to pay? If so, she would still owe that arrearage.

If you never obtained a CO, it is not owed.
