My name is Roark and I live in Illinois and I have a daughter who lives in Arkansas and is 16 years old. Recently(In October) I received a child support order that states that I have to pay 343.50 in current child support plus 68.70 in back support per month(date of order 8/18/97). My questions are: How do they come up with these figures and why the back support when I've just been recently contacted? Also can my payments be affected by my bankruptcy petition filed in 1995 with 3 months to go on payments to my trustee.

bankruptcy/child support

bankruptcy doesnt cover child support payments and arrearages, just like it doesnt wipe out any money due on taxes to the IRS
