Child support

Can you help me?, I'm a single woman who got pregnant by a man on SSI or SSA, since he was a child now he's an adult still on SSI or SSA. Now,that we have a child that is almost two years old,he has never given any support to his child and all of us reside in the state of South Carolina.

I'm in Washington, not sure if the laws are the same in South Carolina, but I was married to a man on SSI and he was ordered to pay only $25.00 a month to me when we divorced. The thing is he had to send it in I couldn't get his SSI check garnished for that whole whopping $25.00. Which he never did pay. But it was set at that because he was getting under $600.00 a month and in Washington state if your income is under $600.00 the minimum you can pay is $25.00. Thanks for modifications now he pays me $220.00 month. Hope this will help some if not there alot of helpful people on this site that will lead in the right direction. Good Luck.
