In the state of Ohio if one or the other parent remarries does it change the childsupport? Neither of us has any other children to pay out to. I do know that who he is marring has thier own business and he will be working under her so she will get the money in her name and he will not have any income showing so will the support go down? I have been told that her income will not count and this is why he is doing it this way. Also can he hold me in contempt of court because he brings the kids back early and refuses his time on holidays (sometimes) I have been told yes because he will not put it in writing and can say I wouldn't let him have the children. Is this true?

I live in TX, but this is how it is here. He has to pay child support, even if he claims to be unemployed. You can't go off of the spouses income unless it's an extreme case (like she is the only one working and she supports him). Before you go to court for a support order, explain to whomever is representing you the situation. The can request information for any accounts he is on. This includes credit accounts, mortgages, bank accounts, etc. The judge will be able to see what kind of life style he leads, and that will be in your favor.

Thank you for the info. I have been keeping notes on all occasions of picking the children up and dropping them off because I am beginning to believe he is not taking care of them so thank you .
