I am from Florida. My fiance is planning on taking her ex-husband back to court for child support. Currently both have shared custody. Both have her an equal amount of time due to their work schedules. The court ordered him to pay $500.00 a year for school clothes in the final divorce. This was agreed upon by her, however; it is too much of a burden without weekly child support. Will she have to seek a modification in child custody before seeking guidline child support? Will she need to ask the court to make her the primary caregiver and make visitation by state guidlines so that she can get child support? Will the court rule that they have her an equal amount of time therefore no child support is needed beyond the $500.00 a year?
