My question concerns Lousianna laws concerning childsupport. If a person who pays the childsupport remarries, can the ex-spouse garnish or in anyway attach the wages of the new spouse?

A spouse to a bio parent is never legally financially responsible for children of the previous marriage/relationship. The only wages/earnings taken into consideration in computing child support is that of the childs bio/adoptive parents.

Thank you for your reply. That was what I thought but my step-son and his soon to be new wife are really worried about her ex trying to get my step-sons money. I say that together you have more money, but he can't get your together money...only your money...thanks again shawn
