What is the name of your state? Virginia

I have a child which is being deprived of services from the local school board. He has a speech problem and is very difficult to understand. Te school board says he meets his standards of learning but I believe this does not disqualfy him for speech services due to the no child left behind law. I have several teachers of his saying he needs these services and wonder what can i do to get him the help he needs. I am thinking of a lawsuit against the school board but would rather not put all of us through that if it is not necessary. Any suggestions?

They told us to do whatever we needed to do,there was nothing further for them to offer according to the federal guidelines. Then abruptly changed the subject to one of our other kids.

You would probably get more and better answers if you posted this on the education forum.
